  India to Launch 75 Rupees Coin to Commemorate 75th Anniversary of Independence The Indian government has announced that it will launch a 75 rupees coin to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The coin will be made of a quaternary alloy , with 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel, and 5 percent zin c. It will be circular in shape with a diameter of 44 millimeters and will have 200 serrations along its edges. The coin will weigh 35 grams. The front of the coin will feature the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar with the words "Satyamev Jayate" written below it. On the left side, "Bharat" will be written in Devanagari script, while on the right side, "India" will be written in English. The back of the coin will feature an image of the new Parliament building.
